Nah, the meme started with this picture someone drew for a school assignment. People started making box art and there were a few teams writing segments for a possible game. In the end, it was Renard Queenston’s theme song that made me go from “boy that’d be neat” to “heck yeah I’m doing this”. I’m not sure if the game is still available somewhere online (it was unfinished anyway), but here’s a vid of someone playing it.
